I need your advice…

Wow, it’s certainly been a while since I posted here. Lots to tell you, but right now I need to ask you a favour.

I’ve launched my new freelance writing and editing site, and I’m trying to come up with designs for my business cards.

Here’s what I’ve come up with so far. (Ignore the white strip at the top. That will be removed when the cards are printed.)

The front…

… and the back.

I’ve tried to match it up with the website design, but I’m not sure it works. I know I’m graphically challenged, so any suggestions or advice you have will be much appreciated.

Until next time…

Bill.

Whoops! Looks like I left a couple of things off the front—the Sharper Copy twitter handle (@SharperCopy) and the address of the Facebook page. Time to fire up Photoshop once again.

I like it. It is clean and to the point. Hate it when you have to go searching to figure out what a business does

Thanks, Suzanne. I definitely wanted it clean and, dare I say it, sharp.

Bill I like the back better than the front! I think that the ‘bubbles’ and what you do are actually very important. I’d be more inclined to make the back the front, and then put the contact information either in the centre of the front or right and left balanced.

On the back, I’d probably go for some customer testimonials or a list of all the things you write and edit.

Thanks, Gayle. I’ll give that a shot. Hopefully it won’t get too cramped.
